Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)

The Town continues to offer brush and leaf pickup for property owners.

Pickup Guidelines

  • Bag leaves and garden waste and place them at the end of your driveway.
  • Grass clippings are not accepted.
  • Do not overfill bags.
  • Stack logs neatly.
  • Orient brush in the same direction.
  • Do not include limbs over 8 feet long.

For large brush pickup, contact the Town Chairman at (309) 236-7549.

Do not dump brush at the old landfill area. This location serves as a helicopter landing zone for emergencies. Please call for proper pickup arrangements.

Wildfire Safety

DNR fire-watch towers have been decommissioned. Stay alert and report any fires to 911.

Community Thanks

Many thanks to the Rock Dam Riders ATV Club, Rock Dam Rod and Gun Club, and Rock Dam Lake Association for maintaining roads and ditches.

Volunteers are always welcome. Please contact these organizations for cleanup dates.

AED Reminder

An AED is available at the Rod and Gun Building (north wall, accessible from outside). Instructions are included.

Recycling

The Town contracts recycling services with GFL (Green for Life Environmental). This service includes recycling only, not garbage pickup.
